I read the book Diary of A Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth.This was a very interesting book.
Here are the characters that were mostly in the book:
- Greg
- Rowley
- Mom
- Randy
- Rodrick
- Dad
- Classmates/Teachers
This takes place in school,Greg's house,streets.this takes place in I would say,2010.past. Hot days.
So Greg sometimes takes advantage of Rowley and he gets mad so they have a big fight and aren't friends anymore. Greg mostly has only Rowley. Rowley gets friends really fast and Greg never gets friends.Well its summer and he doesn't know what to do so he goes to a sleepover that is at school. Greg is happy to be with the girl he likes, Hailey. It turns out they separate the boys and the girls.They only get together if the chaperons have some little games for kindergartners.
The rising action is when Rowley and Greg have their first little fight.When Rowley drags him to the top of the hill with a wagon.The climax of the story is when Rowley and Greg have their big fight and decide not to be friends.That is the conflict that Greg has no one to be with.The falling action is when Greg starts being nice to Rowley.The resolution is that they start talking to each other, and forgive each other.
While all of this is happening at home Greg is annoyed by Randy and tortured by Rodrick. His parents punish him for every little thing.
My personal opinion is that friends should never fight because u never know what will happen the next day.
I feel happy that Rowley found friends but what about Greg think about what he is going through.
My favorite part is when they become friends again because I don't like fighting.My least favorite part is when Rowley makes new friends and rubs it in Greg's face maybe he is not his friend that doesn't mean he needs to make him jealous of what he has and he doesn't. The theme is friends are never perfect. Well that's it remember Orly I love you and I hope we never fight like them and I love you all!!

I agree, friends shouldn't fight but it happens sometimes.
Now, I want to ask you a few questions.
Why do you think Rodrick is mean to Gregg?
If you and your friend were fighting, and you got all the friends but your friend didn't, would you rub it in their face and make them jealous?
Lastly, if you were to write a diary like Gregg did, what would you write about and be specific when you include names and objects.
